Margo Gladding MS, CNS, LDN – Herbalist, Nutritionist

Margo Gladding


Margo’s impressive knowledge base is the result of a unique blend of educational and professional experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Herbal Medicine, providing her with a strong foundation in the history, science, and practice of herbal medicine. Margo is also certified as a Nutrition Specialist and is a licensed nutritionist. Since joining Village Green in 2005, Margo has been talking with customers in the store, providing private consultations, and researching and writing educational materials to help people learn more about nutrition and herbs. Margo counsels both children and adults with a wide range of health challenges. Her recommendations are always client specific and include the use of herbs and supplements, as well as dietary and lifestyle suggestions. Margo has recently been appointed by the Governor to serve on the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice.

 

Paula Gallagher, B.A.Sc. – Nutrition Counselor

Paula is a highly qualified and experienced nutritionist on the staff at Village Green Apothecary. Paula graduated from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and holds a degree in Applied Human Nutrition. She has since worked both in Canada and the United States as a nutritionist and wellness counselor in a variety of professional settings. Paula feels it is fundamentally important to provide nutritional education to people on how to maximize their health through diet, exercise, and supplementation. Paula has also conducted bone density screenings, body fat analysis and cholesterol screenings, and provided lifestyle consultations based on the results. Paula’s specialties include cholesterol, weight loss, and osteoporosis.

 

Dr. Kevin Passero, ND – Naturopath

Dr. Kevin Passero is a licensed naturopathic doctor who specializes in women’s health, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, and integrative oncology support. Dr. Passero’s training allows him to fully understand both holistic and conventional treatment approaches to illness and disease and focus on discovering the root cause. He has been part of the Village Green team for over 8 years, offering his consultation services here at a significantly discounted rate. He also hosts Village Green’s Essentials of Healthy Living radio program Sundays from 10-11am on AM 1500 Federal News Radio.

Dr. Passero currently serves as the President of the Maryland Association of Naturopathic Physicians. He is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, as well as the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Passero received his naturopathic training at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, after receiving his undergraduate degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Colorado.

 

Dr. Keri Marshall, ND – Naturopath

Keri Marshall,ND


Dr. Keri Marshall is a licensed naturopathic doctor practicing integrative family medicine and specializing in pediatrics, women’s medicine and chronic disease management. Dr. Marshall has published several scientific papers and magazine articles, written a book on proteins and amino acids, and appears regularly in the media. Dr. Marshall has served as a scientific adviser for Citizens for Health and Medical Director for Gaia Herbs. She frequently promotes childhood nutrition and a reduction in childhood obesity, and has served on a national level for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. She has also worked locally as a nutrition expert in her public school district. Dr. Marshall serves on several advisory boards and is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Nordic Naturals.

Dr. Marshall received her naturopathic medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, a Masters in Epidemiology from SUNY at Buffalo, and Bachelor of Science from George Washington University in Washington, DC.

 

Naz Amini, CNC – Nutrition Counselor

Naz Amini


Naz graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Public and Community Health. She is a certified Nutritional Counselor through the American Association of Nutritional Consultants (AANC). Naz has been trained in FirstLine Therapy, a clinically proven lifestyle change program that is recommended by leading health organizations. As a lifestyle educator, she helps clients discover the underlying causes of chronic disease by incorporating customized eating plans, exercise, nutritional supplementation and stress management techniques. Naz has been a familiar face at Village Green for many years and her extensive knowledge in natural medicine, hormonal balance and dietary supplements makes her a great candidate to offer preventative and therapeutic nutritional services. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport.

 

Carmen Ugas, CHHC – Holistic Health & Nutrition Coach

Carmen graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition through Columbia University’s Teachers College, and she is certified by the American Association for Drugless Practitioners. Carmen has worked closely with prominent integrative medical practitioners in the Washington, DC area and has been trained in FirstLine Therapy, a clinically proven lifestyle program recommended by leading health organizations. Carmen helps her clients understand how food affects wellbeing, how to improve eating habits, look for nutritional deficiencies, become more physically fit, deepen relationships, and wisely manage time.

 

Lynn Dudley, MSHS, PA-C, CCT – Physician’s Assistant

Lynn Dudley


Lynn is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced physician’s assistant who has been working with Dr. Mark Sivieri (evidence-based medicine) for 7 years. Lynn has a master’s degree in Health Sciences with Physician Assistant Certification from George Washington University, and is a Certified Clinical Thermographer. She is also a Certified Lifestyle Coach. Lynn specializes in women’s health issues, including bioidentical hormone replacement, breast thermography, hormonal, endocrine, and metabolic dysfunction, nutrition and lifestyle education, and children’s health issues.
