What is Arthritis?
When the body’s cushioning cartilage breaks down, bones may begin to rub against each other, causing inflammation and joint pain. The most common form of arthritis is osteoarthritis, which is a degenerative joint condition that affects over forty million Americans, most of whom are older individuals. The onset of arthritis may be gradual and most often affects the hands and weight-bearing joints (hips, knees, and spine).
What are the Symptoms of Arthritis?
Arthritis sufferers often experience early morning stiffness, stiffness following periods of rest, pain that worsens with use, and loss of joint function. The most common arthritis symptoms include local tenderness, soft tissue swelling, bony swelling, and restricted mobility. Joint pain may include hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, heel pain, and neck pain among others. Arthritis signs and symptoms may include:
- Joint pain
- Stiffness
- Swelling
- Instability
- Redness
- Decreased range of motion

Managing Arthritis Joint Pain through Diet
The foods you eat have the ability to trigger either pro-inflammatory chemicals or anti-inflammatory chemicals. Pro-inflammatory foods increase joint pain, swelling, and cellular damage. An increase in inflammatory chemicals has been associated with most chronic diseases including arthritis, heart disease, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, and various cancers. Anti-inflammatory foods are health promoting and protective to the body. Eating the Standard American Diet (SAD) leads most people down a path of nutrient deficiencies, chronic illness, fatigue, and obesity.
At Village Green, we offer personalized nutrition counseling to help you understand the role that food choices play for your health. Our nutritionists will recommend foods as part of a comprehensive program that supports your goals for improved health and arthritis pain management.

Pathway TURMERIC extract contains Curcumin C3 Complex, a patented blend of curcuminoids that has been clinically studied.

This blend also helps to maintain strong connective tissue.
Fish Oil
Studies show that EPA and DHA, the omega–3 essential fatty acids in fish oil, can provide pain relief and promote joint health as well as joint mobility and flexibility. Extensive research has documented the health benefits of EPA and DHA which include not only for joint mobility and inflammation support, but also benefit brain and cognitive function, eye health, pregnancy and lactation, skin and hair health, and promote healthy immune function.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D deficiencies can play a role in the development of arthritis pain. Vitamin D deficiency is very common in adults and can cause numerous conditions including depression, immune dysfunction, joint pain, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, and a variety of other health concerns.
If you’re at-risk for low vitamin D levels, sunlight is a natural remedy. Even 10-15 minutes a day of sun exposure (more time for individuals with darker skin tones) can help boost vitamin D levels and help with joint pain caused by arthritis.
Village Green encourages everyone to have their vitamin D level tested. Based on your level, we recommend taking a vitamin D supplement daily. Taking a vitamin D supplement is inexpensive and recommended by leading health organizations including the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and NIH (National Institute of Health). Dosage will depend on your age, and other variables such as weight, where you live, how much time you spend outdoors, and your unique biochemical needs.

Great service.
Just started taking this mag glycinate. Hoping it will help with sleep issues.
Highly recommended by my acupuncturist! It is a powerhouse!
I started useing this at first sign of tingling like others have mentioned and I reapply every two hours throughout the day . Its strong stuff just a thin layer needed. I'm on day 3 of use and my cold sore is 1/3 the size it normally gets . And no pain or irritation . I feel like it's starting to heal up already . Recommended to keep useing it even past the time you think it's going away. I really like this but have to eat tic tacos cause leaves strong taste in mouth . It's totally worth it !!!
I stated taking Nattokinase as part of a precautionary Spike protein detox. Since this is a preventative for me, not a corrective hard to tell if it’s working. But, it’s also supposed to help with Cardiovascular function.
it's very helpful to treat my allergies and sinus indeed. Works well!!! Thank you!!
Magnesium (citrate)
Gets rid of my cough quickly. Arrived promptly. I recommend.
I appreciate the very prompt and helpful service
I live in the desert. My sinus’s are always dry and in the spring I am bothered by allergies when certain plants start blooming. I prefer not to take allergy meds since they make me tired so I rely on this and herbal nasal spray to get me through.
I have used Newton's Menopause drops for years and have never had to take hormones. They are getting hard to find. I googled them and found them at Village Green Apothecary. I had never heard of Village Green and was a little leary of ordering from them, but I did anyway. They sent my order in a timely fashion with no problems.
