  • Village Green Welcomes Dart Clancy

    by Paula Gallagher | August 19, 2015

Dart-ClancyWe are excited to welcome Dart Clancy to Village Green Apothecary. Dart’s passion for the healing power of nature began in 1995 while working at a local health food store. During that time, she began to study and explore herbs and traditional healing modalities. In 2007, Dart received her Master of Science degree in Herbal Medicine and began practicing in Columbia, MD, at Clinical Herbal Care, a private practice focusing on herbal medicine and nourishing foods. After receiving her Certified Nutrition Specialist designation and nutrition license in 2009, she joined the staff at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) and in 2013, she began working in the Nutrition Department as a Clinical Supervisor. Through her experience and training, Dart has learned one central fundamental – healing comes from within. She believes herbal medicine, diet, and lifestyle are essential to support a lifetime of wellness.

Dart focuses her practice on supporting those with chronic imbalances, such as autoimmune disorders. She is available for phone consults on Thursdays from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, and Fridays from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. To schedule a consult, click here.

evanhealyVisit Village Green Apothecary this Friday, July 31, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm to learn more about this radically simple skin care line, Evanhealy.

Evanhealy skin care was founded in 1999 by Evan Healy, a holistic beauty expert who created and developed her line of lovely, healthy products based on years of experience as a holistic aesthetician, and her refusal to use products that contained petrochemicals, exfoliating acids, 'fake' natural, or toxic, synthetic ingredients.

Evan's products are handmade with 100% natural and organically sourced ingredients and feature labor-intensive, artisan distilled (in copper) hydrosols sourced both locally and globally from small family farms. Organic herbs and flower infusions are sourced from small, family-owned gardens and use wild crafted or organic, and/or sustainable fruit, seed and berry oils, essential oils (not solvent-extracted isolates) and rhythmically infused botanicals. • Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez

    by Paula Gallagher | July 28, 2015

dr-nicholas-gonzalezThe world lost a great man a week ago to an unexpected and sudden cardiac event. Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez was a New York-based physician known for developing the Gonzalez regimen, an alternative cancer treatment. He was in excellent health otherwise. It is a reminder that the body works in mysterious ways and there is still much to be learned. Dr. Gonzalez worked tirelessly for the health of his patients.

Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez was a leader in individualized nutritional regimens for many types of cancer, as well as other illnesses such as Lyme, allergies, autoimmune disorders and chronic fatigue. His protocols included diet, supplements and detoxification to treat different illnesses. He was featured in Suzanne Somers' book Tox-Sick, in which he discussed the origin of cancer, its relationship to toxicity in the gut, and the influence of the intestines, intestinal flora, and liver on our overall health. Ms. Somers references the work of Dr. Gonzalez throughout the book.

Village Green was fortunate to have Dr. Gonzalez on our Essentials of Healthy Living radio show just over 2 years ago. Click here to listen to him discuss treating patients diagnosed with cancer and other serious degenerative illnesses.

In a recent study, CELLFOOD was shown to decrease excess free radical activity by up to 27%.

CELLFOOD also helps detoxify the body and balance pH, as well as support athletic performance. In a study conducted at the University of Pretoria, it was shown to increase oxygen uptake (VO2 Max), increase ferretin (iron storage), and decrease lactic acid accumulation (muscular fatigue).
